Wake up 5 am

Load up the car

Arrive at 6:30am - Low tide

Location - Rock paltform near avoca

Catch around 6 crab - 4 red , 2 green, one purple

Burley with bread and prawn head

Hope to catch some pig

Only catch small throw backs

burley with crust crab - left over from last trip

Load up the heavy out-fit 1/4 red crab on size 3/0 black magic hook

Result -

5.3 kg groper

4kg groper

( Our self imposed limt is 1 per day per person )

1 - leather jakect

2 wassie for soup

No pig

That's a very good report Dododog....there are certainly some tasty meals to share around the table especially in those two Groper you have there :thumbup: Good fishing Dododog and thanks for sharing such good information in the few short posts you have made so far and particularly this one which could only be regarded as the the best method for our members to use to give themselves the best of chances to catch Groper.

Summer tough for pig fish due to light condition, and really need high tide + dawn or dust to really get going

As for Groper -

We don't really fish for groper that much as its such a magnificent creature, but may do a article on groper fishing as we are highly experience groper fishermen, at least more so than other spieces.

I am fishing for Red Mowong off the rock lately, anyone know any good spot as it travel between sand an rock.
