GregL Posted March 24, 2010 Author Share Posted March 24, 2010 Rich I still recon that first run we did in that Nitro 9 series with the 200 opti would have looked more spectacular than that! 70mph totally trimmed out and hit a rogue ferry wave! It felt like we went totally vertical! I look across at Rich mid-air and all I see is him holding onto the Jesus bar flopping around out of his seat! Only thing we could do after that was when we finally re-entred the earths atmosphere! hehehe I had just sold my tiller steer hornet with a top speed of like 30mph. I had ordered a new Nitro but there was a delay in shipping and I had a comp to fish so the dealer sent down from QLD their demo boat..... Yep we drove it like it was stolen Putney to Manly in 18min on my first run in a boat with a hotfoot control. No idea how to drive it..... Run back was like 12mins as there was no 15kn zones under the harbour bridge back then! Still to this day I have never had that much air under my boat and I hope I never do again!!!
