Ray R
G'day Raiders, Hutcho and I had today off work so we went fishing in and around Patonga, Ettalong and Wagstaffe. We were chasing flatties and found them to be a bit timid today, we offered them a wide range of plastics but they we not very hungry today. We belted the shallows and drop-offs, even the deeper channels were devoid of fish. Anyway we kept at it for most of the day, our count for flatties was 20 and most of them were only around the 30-35cm mark. So although the flatties were not big, they still gave us a bit of fun, every now and then a larger model would put a small amount of respectability in the esky. We scored a couple of flounder as well and a tailor. There you have it, a great day out there drifting around in the warm sun, a nice way to spend the day.. Captain Hutcho Morning Glory Me with one of those little flatties Sand flats and drop offs My Hardware and flatties Hutcho went a bit stir crazy after 50,000 casts..LOL

Hutcho1
Thanks Mondo for another great fishing adventure, just when you think you have it nailed the fish take off. I promised you big models but they were not there so I reckon we do a late arvo today and we WILL find them. I have calmed down a bit overnight so all is good and ready to cast again and again. Keflapod
Hey Hutcho, My mummy told me that little boys will always think that they can fly... But you're HUGE ! I mean, look at that wingspan ! And you're not even wearing your superman cape.... Full marks for persistence on the fish, even though they were playing harder-to-get than a supermodel. Now if you apply that same persistence to flying, you might just hurt yourself.... Well done lads - nice fish and some nice hardware there as well..... james7
Well done team Rayhutcho! Although, I think it's a shame you have to live and fish in such a terrible part of the world. Conditions looked terrible. I feel sorry for both of you. I see why Hutcho went a bit crazy. Some good eating fish there boys. Two of my favourites - flathead and flounder. Great photos as usual and the one of Hutho on the table is a classic! Cheers Peter
