kadavu Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) The family all went to Port Stephens for 5 days on the Easter long weekend where we fished the bay for Jewfish. We went out on Friday. On the water caught 15 Jewies averaging from 4 to 8kg caught on lures, bait and we kept 10 and released 5. On the way back to the boat ramp we came across a MASSIVE school of mullet. They were so thick you could walk on them so we decided to fish on 1kg line and have a go at catching them, we caught 8 mullet on lures and bait. The biggest fish was 1.8kg on 1kg line and was 47cm long. Went out on Saturday and managed another 6 jewies around 7kg and then on Sunday we got another 7 jewies and realesed 6 more.
