Ray R
G'day Raiders, went down for an arvo squid session after work today and found myself a few inkers. The conditions were calm and the wind was light so all was good. Started casting out my Yamashita squid jig and soon found willing takers. Ended up with 9 with only 2 dropped, amongst the 9 were 2 cracking thumpers, they really attacked the jig and were very hungry, one of them was grinding away on the jig and I could hear the crunching sound of his beak on my jig. Anyway that's it for now, nice calamari to go with the snapper.. Got one kind chap to grab a pic of the squid and myself and a random group shot, taken with my phone so they are very good pics. The jig is a yamashita olive glow.. Enjoy..
