SquidMarks
Im not sure if im the only one who suffers from this but, everytime im catching squid and drop them in the live bait tank, the buggers keep on coughing up ink for the next 10 minutes, im frantically bailing to keep up with their coughing and the yakkas are thinking that the world is about to end (which it kinda does for them by the end of the day ) I do have a decent pump feeding the lbt and have no problems keeping slimies alive all day (which are a bit notorious for needing a higher water turnover than yakkas). its just these squid! they really give me heartache! Can anyone give me any times on how to approach this problem?
Outback
You can try throwing them in a separate bucket for the first few minutes .

matyg
sometimes the squid will take chunks out of the yakkas , best not to put them in the same tank
andysinmexico
I usually give them a good swish in the net before bringing them in to encourage them to spit a few extra times.
filthmonger
Buy a catch net, leave em in there for 15-20 minutes. Its like a squid naughty corner.

fragmeister
The last time I tried the "shared accommodation" with squid and yakkas the squid died. As I see the squid as the more valuable asset I now "evict" the yakkas from the live tank and stick them in a bucket and then transfer them back when the squid are all gone. lostproperty
The 2 don't live together very well and after the water cleaned up from the squid inking, 2 of them were chewing on 2 yakkas haha so we don't put them together again!
