Yeah I agree with fragmeister start at the earth and make sure your vehicle is earthed correctly also buy a test light and check your plug and see how it's all working at the vehicle that way you can isolate the problem to an area Vehicle /Trailer. Now as for the trailer issue unless the boat is loaded more to one side to upset the balance seem to be a weak spring or a roller may have slipped etc just check all the load contact points and good luck with the fishing tomorrow . -
It is not easy to tie knots that heavy but you might be able to use one of the following but only one loop knot (1) Crawford (2)Perfection loop knot but never used it with anything over 80 lbs (3) plain clinch knot ) Good Luck with the YFT

I date my frozen fish that way you have an idea of the time of catch handy to know it that way you can work out the used by date etc.

Good day fishing by the sounds mate always good to wet a line with Family . I have seen the wake of my boat glowing luminous green at night coming back to the ramp amazing sight
