I recon ... though I could be mistaken.

I recon its a Yellowtail Barracuda Sphyraena obusata . I call it a Sea Pike, plus they have a few other common names. Note the Smaller Dorsal and Anal fins and are rounder (cylindrical) than the Longfin Pike. The stripe is also just above the Pectorial fin where the L/F Pike is higher.

Certainly not as common as Longfin Pike, but have caught them in Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay also up the Barrier reef.

Looks like a pike to me! Thanks for throwing a spanner in the works blackfish! Lol. Damn it, I thought that was an easy one! :)
