Very interesting Henry. It would appear that drag on fishing reels is about as indeterminable as fishing itself. Maybe we should all adopt a cynical approach to what we're told in advertising hype and go with our "gut feeling". Far too many variables come into play to do anything else really. 

The article adopts a "scientific approach" to the testing process and the common denominator is DRAGENSTEIN...far better equipped than the methods which we anglers adopt when choosing a reel for a particular purpose.

Is this yet another case of the anglers seeing and hearing what they want to when buying their fishing tackle?
