Bycatch spinning for tailor

I headed over the beach to see if I could spin up some tailor late afternoon after hearing reports of tailor to 50cm being caught -  conditions were very good with low tide just on dusk so I was optimistic about getting amongst the fish.  My usual approach is to walk the beach casting into the gutters and holes and  I was using light gear throwing a 10g chromie.

I drew a blank on the tailor but picked up a 67cm jewie. A pretty good session and definitely put a smile on my face this evening!!

Nice fish but ouch for the reel in the sand.

cheers

in the sand or on the sand, we could probably argue about that for a while - some of the gear I fish with is close to 50 years old so I must be doing something right.
