Welster Posted February 16, 2019 Share Posted February 16, 2019 I have been hanging for months to get out for a fish in the boat and today was it. I had an appointment with my daughter early in the arvo so i quick solo session it was. Although it would of been an hour longer had I set my alarm for AM instead of PM🤦♂️. I was on the water by 6:30 and managed a couple of squid pretty quick bit that turned out to be all I got in the two hours. I had plans of converting them into a king downrigging. The first squid produced a rat king about 60cm that put up a good fight amongst the moorings before giving up. I didn’t have long so put out my bigger second squid whole as well. After losing his head he got hit with a solid hook up. Turned out to be slightly bigger at 67cm and the second hook foul hooking it.
