PaddyT Posted April 7, 2019 Share Posted April 7, 2019 I downrig live squid with a 7/0 or 8/0 livebait hook through the front (snelled on) and a size 2 to 1/0 3 x strong treble at the edge of the mantle- this is for kings, for jews i use a pair of 6/0 suicides/beak hooks. PaddyT Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 Sure does, miss a lot less fish downrigging with the treble in the bait, only downside is that it does hook rats a bit deeper so i try to hook the fish as early as possible to avoid gut hooking Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
