frankS
The sun about 10 minutes ago. Not what it looks like in real time. It's bright orange with all the smoke haze. Frank
noelm
Pretty Smokey down this way too, kind of an orange red here, even with a very strong NE wind blowing off the ocean.

kingie chaser
I though I was in a star wars movie, just waiting for the 2 planet or moon to come up beside the sun. Sydney was a mess today with all that smoke haze, but I still think myself lucky that's all Im getting!
big Neil
Had a trip to Lismore 2 weeks ago and this was the impact of the smoky environment on the sun. Quite surreal! bn
Berleyguts
Yep. It’s been pretty red up here in the Bay, too. This is looking out my front door this morning. I expect it will be more intense again this evening. I woke up this morning with the smell of smoke all through our bedroom (I had a window open) and a sore throat. I’ll be keeping my inhaler handy today!
big Neil
A tip for taking photos of sunrise / sunset. Tilt the camera lens to change the angle at which the image enters the lens. If you have a camera that has a screen (rather than a viewfinder) try changing the angle that the image enters the lens and watch the different results come up on your screen. Anyone who tries it please advise what outcomes you achieved. Cheers, bn
