JonD
Picked up a rod to replace the last broken one but decided too change it (blackhole amped offshore) and stick with another terez. This meant we didn't get on the water until 11.30 but didn't take long to find our own patch of kings. Today there were plenty of bigger fish on the chew, some over the 1m which unfortunately were lost at the boat. One of the lads had a particularly unlucky day losing the biggest fish, 8 jigs and snapping another rod!!! The rest of us didn't lose a jig even but did have some of the assist hooks break off (breaking rigging on $29 jigs was quite surprising. Once again my non fishing youngest daughter managed some very good kings on her little JM 100g spin rod and 20lb braid. Eldest daughter is still out there on her third trip of the day (penguin night tour). This is the boat she is working on and learning to drive since gaining her coxswains. Total kings this afternoon were in excess of 40. funny how we can't break the silly rods, such fun on these things. Last but not least I managed to call a penguin over again!! Years of boating has given her confidence but the big game changer for my kids driving boats was when we got the rib, their confidence level instantly improved.

hookerbruce
Looking at the bend on the rods I guess it only takes anything going wrong for a big bang nice fish and it's nice to know there are good numbers down the coast

Its a jigging master powerspell 100g, they dead lift over 10kg.
