Vortex outboards

Neighbour dropped in an outboard for me to have a look at as there was no stream from the tell tale. Found that the impeller was virtually non existent and that the water passages were clogged with melted bits of rubber.

So my question is does anyone know where to buy spare parts for these motors?

It is a 4 HP 2 stroke model T4BM  (S)

Probably first stop would be a Telwater dealer, Vortex were at one time used by them, don't know for how long though, failing that, I think you're doomed to looking for one that fits off something else, what brand is anyone's guess.

All but 1 part available (not really required) and in stock at Island Inflatables at Menai NSW. 

Customer service from Thomas was excellent had a parts diagram and part numbers emailed the next morning.

From memory some of those vortex use the same parts as parson and Yamaha if memory serves me well.

Yes, some do, most say they are a copy of a Yamaha, but that's only partially the case, lots of parts don't interchange.

vortex parsun the same ithink, most yammie parts fit but the vortex parts cheaper i think cheers dunc333
