Boat insurance renewal just arrived and seems to have had a big increase like most policies.

$700 for a 2019 Quintrex Renegade 460 with a 75hp Yamaha, water skiers coverage as well. Boat valued at $40,500.

Does this seem OK ?

What is everyone paying and with who ?

Speaking of insurance  can you get third party and how much is it

Shop around , I only insure my 2003 poly raft for third party damage so mine is like $220 through youi and my mate goes through GIO and gets his near the same .

If you want the extra cover it is going to cost you  but there are more companies doing marine insurance than just club marine. I always found them expensive along with the other offshoot club 4x4 - they were near on $200 dearer to comprehensively insure my 2015 Colorado but they did have more options aimed at4x4 users like remote towing cover .

I have also found that some insurance companies will give you a discount for a new policy with them - this is the one thing that irritates me , you stay loyal to a company and they don’t give you a damned thing ! So now I go with who is cheapest .
