Reel Advice: Freams vs TD Black

I'm looking for a new light reel, 2000 size, mostly to be used in fresh water with the occasional salty foray.

Had my heart set on the TD Black, but this morning I came across the Freams, which retails around $80 less, and still seems to have well sorted specs.

Made myself question what extra I would get for that $80, and would it be worth the premium.

Any input would be appreciated, especially if anyone has had experience with either or both of these reels.

For reference, I'll be pairing this with a 6' 1-3kg Arrowz.

I'm coming from a 3 year old Bream Raider 722 1-4kg (which has been through hell and survived - great rod) with a newer Aird LT2000 reel, so I'm confident whatever I end up going with will be a big upgrade.

Well, I ended up with the TD. Feels like a fantastic little reel in the hand, and I can't wait to hear the drag sing on the water. Super well balanced on my new Skinny Water Arrowz.

Snowies again this week... bring it on!

Good luck with the new outfit, let us know how you fare with it.   bn
