big Neil
I spent 5 hours this morning fishing at Narrandera without a single bite. Used cheese, salami, chicken, and live shrimps. As usual I took some pics on my phone. There is a massive difference in the condition of the river between Narrandera and Euroley, where the first recce of the river took place. Anyway, here are the pics, what do you reckon? bn
Green Hornet
Very nice and so different to the landscape around where I live. That recently fallen tree in your 2nd shot is massive. Obviously a casualty from the recent flooding.
noelm
There's certainly plenty of "structure", is that water colour pretty normal? Cheese and Salami for bait, at least you don't need to take food with you, a few crackers and you're set, eat the bait!

In Winter when there is little water and little flow it is very clear. Present temp is about 25c, in Winter 6-8c. bn
noelm
OK, it just looked a bit more "chocolate" maybe it's just the photo?
Blackfish
It looks like tranquility to me. Buggar about the fish though.
Hoods
Hi Neal, Thanks for the report. Good to see you are out "on the water", however from your photos it still looks barely fishable. Would the creek be a better option with reduced flow!! Regards, Hoods
Rebel
Nice tour BN. How do you avoid all the trees & the snags ? Still it is the great Aussie Bush. Top photos.

One of the things that has me perplexed is the fact that the fish are NOT where they normally would be and they are not feeding. Usually I would get them just off the main current, but they're not feeding there. The few which I have caught are IN THE FAST WATER. I will continue to seek them out, only a matter of time, hopefully. Hope you're well up the coast, Cheers, Neil

Careful driving of the boat Rebel. You have to fish the snags as that's where the fish hang out...lose a lot of terminal tackle, but that's Cod fishing. bn
