Georges River Bass

Hit the Georges for some bass. Ended up with 15 fish in 2 hours. Biggest were 33cm and good signs with a few smaller fish around too. The fishery is looking very healthy.

It appears that the bass are firing in all of the costal rivers.

Well done mate, healthy looking fish! I’ve never had much luck in the George’s myself for some reason. Good to see the River is doing well.

15 bass in 2 hours in George’s is definitely a great session and give us hope for better fishing.

@fish-aholic it's my local so I sorta know a few tricks. It's worth a shot if you have a kayak or boat.

Hey mate have fished the George’s landbased for years but never had luck launching the fresh side of the weir besides the bridge at glenny shoot me a dm bro I’ll Be keen to have a chat about it I fish the neapean because it has better kayak access but I fish the Georgesriver on the regular

I’m in exactly the same position as you, lived locally on the George’s for years and now drive almost an hour to the Nepean to catch bass as I found land based difficult and getting a kayak in always meant leaving your car in a dodgy area. I’ve spoken to a few guys that say the quality of fish in the George’s is much better overall.
