Reds off Crowdy Head

Had last Monday fishing off Crowdy Head. Some nice reds, tailor and flatties. Biggest red was ~3kg. Whales were a bonus. Several pods came through frolicking and jumping. Had to start the engine a few times to let them know we were there. Then they came along side and did circle-work around the boat to check us out. Its only scary when they are leaping about.

The whales are only big when they surface near the boat. 😂

Thanks for the report. I'm glad you did ok. My boat went without me and had a slow day - except for the freaded Jackets who has a field day. Its been a bit slow outside lately.

I did notice some whales still going north!!?? whilst the majority are going south. Seems early to be going south and late going north. We did have a few jokes about what they must be saying to each other..."Where are you going?? Party's over mate time to head back"
