BazMaster
Managed to dunk my little Freams in the saltwater on the weekend for all of about 3 seconds.... Is it worth sending into Daiwa for a service (it is a MagSealed version). Or being a $150 reel is it better to see how it goes after washing in fresh, drying it out and re-greasing and lubing the parts I can get to?? Unsure what they generally charge for a reel sevice. Mine has survived dunks but I normally flood it with innox grease and spray
Steve0
How deep it was immersed is also relevant. If you can find an IP rating for your Freams, you have some guidance. See the IP rating table in this link.
