Ben Hall Posted June 20 Share Posted June 20 Chasing some Snapper in 30m of water and the reel started to sing, dumping line fast the little Stella 5000 was about to be spooled, I gave chase in the boat getting some line back. 20lb braid, 20lb leader and a gulp soft plastic. I suspect you were hoping it might have been a SBT as it got closer and the telltale tuna thumps!! Reports of some good snapper up this way today. Thanks Hoods It sure turned my day around from looking like a pretty ordinary day with only one pan size snapper in the esky. Don't think I even had another cast and just headed in knowing it couldn't get much better. Also with the amount of whales passing by trying to keep out of their way, I get a little nervous with them guys especially after having a close call a few years ago.
