  13. if your just going for tailor and salmon just use 2olb line straight through.. buy some 4/0 gang hooks, some medium sized swivels and some large ball sinkers and your in business.. the rig is 3 or 4 gangd hooks (depending on pilchard size) with a 50cm trace to a swivel then your sinker.. find some holes or gutters to fish in and it wont take long..

  17. hello all, went for a quik fish with my son today. pumped some nippers and with about 20 minutes before low tide, tied up to a boat mooring about 20-30 meters away from the oyster lease boundary. flicking unweighted nippers at the leases in about 50cm water we managed a few undersized bream until the tide changed then got one nice fish 33cm to the fork. but just as the fish were coming on the little fella was getting tired so its time to head back..but not before one last cast and a just 25cm bream is released for next time.. fished 130-330pm water temp 25-26c. i was useing longshanked hooks on one rod and a short no4 on the other and interestingly the short shank was miles in front on the hookups.. ps sorry about the eye.
  18. this poor guy and his family were in for about a 3-4 hour wait on sat until the tide was back up.. the photos dont show it but the boat was FULL of water, every wave was going straight in.. not sure what exactly happend but something was said about the anchors not holding..?? a rather big, black twin hull boat tried to pull him out but i think it just made it worse.. anyway just watch those spring tides people..
  19. if its perspex just remove the old stuff , use it as a template and take it to your nearest perspex/sign shop..
