  1. Player, Definately worth dragging the tinny down to Currumbene Creek. Check the MPA maps but there is plenty of places up there that you can fish. I have had plenty of luck just prospecting around. Have a drift, if you do no good after a little while, move. You will find some fish. Plenty of flatties, bream, trev's and I caught a 1m shovelnose shark up there. Last time I was down there I was trying my hardest to sneak around to flick some lures and I managed to spook some seriously big flatties in the shallows. Didn't hook any monsters but did get plenty of others. I go each year to Vincentia on a family holiday and take the boat for a fish. Good luck. c'n'r
  2. Well done mate. The little lady looks like she is a pretty happy angler with her bream. c'n'r
  3. I am not one that is too much for rules, but I have to admit that keeping the rules tight keeps this site neat and tidy. You don't have to go to far to see where others get it wrong and threads just become slagging matches. Keep up the good work Big Bro's. c'n'r
  4. What a terrific read. That young bloke is just showing off.
  5. Your on fire Trung. The Bay is fishing really well at the moment. Well done for cutting that big girl loose. c'n'r
  6. That's better Ray. You got you little mate onto a few beauties by the looks of it. All the best mate. Matt
  7. Great looking flattie mate. You should be proud of yourself for grabbing some pics and cutting her loose. Matt
  8. That is some terrific scenery. Shame about the fishing.
  9. Hey, hey, hey. Leave some for me. Well done mate, those are some crackers! For all the big flatties I have been seeing coming onboard (and going back) we are yet to get onto a decent sized bream. The last time I did was in the real old days when I used real life prawns and not SP's. Really good stuff ACIMA, look slike you had a ball and I am glad my report inspired you. All the best. Matt
  10. Good stuff Norto. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve fishing, I am sure your kids will be the same.
  11. Well done on your catch at top marks for cutting her loose. Nice looking ride, what is it? Matt
  12. Good job Belly. Shame you and your dad couldn't knock over the record from Saturday. As you know I am stocked up and ready for a re-match with you and Aitcho some time real soon. Being outfished like that burns me up bad. Talk soon mate. Matt
  13. Well done little man. Looks like you had a blast out with your Dad.
  14. I nearly didn't let him or the other bloke (wearing the same jerseys) onboard Buster. In the end I just felt sorry for them. Matt
  15. Top morning boys and well done on the 76cm monster!lOOKS LIKE THE FLATTIES ARE WAKING UP TOO What depth were you fishing boys? Hi Rob, it was about a metre or two or three. It was crystal clear water and we could always see the bottom. Sorry I can't be more specific but I don't own a depth sounder. Matt
  16. I saw some moron under the Como Bridge today in a hire boat (Party Pontoon type) cleaning a bream that was bearly bigger that the palm on of his hand. I hope the clown had some drama's with one of the little fells bones as he ate it! Shame the fisheries guys weren't around for that one.
  17. Hello Raiders, Fishraider Belly, myself and another mate of ours hit the water at Oatley Bay about 5.30am this morning. We went straight out into Botany Bay and had a drift around Sans Souci throwing all manner of soft plastics. We started out with a small bream and a couple of hard fighting trevally. Belly caught a good size Tailor and soon after, caught the first legal flathead of the day. We got a few more at that location before we decided to move over to Towra Point. Not long after arriving, Belly hooks up and you could tell immediately that it was a good fish. 76cm's of Botany Bay Dusky Flathead to be exact. Just an awesome fish. It was only after the pics were taken and this beautiful moster returned to the water did we have time to take stock of what had happened. She has ripped a hole in my landing net (great excuse for a brand new Enviro Net) as well as straightened Belly's hook. We were pretty lucky to land this fish, all things considered. This started which I would say was the best session of fishing I have been a part off for a very long time. Belly and our mate caught a 56cm flattie and a 51cm flattie between them. We also boated about another 6 legal flathead at that spot. We worked Towra heading back towards the Georges River. We caught another 53cm specimen as well as plenty of other 40cm models. All up our tally for today was 15 legal flatties, about 5 or so undersize flatties, 2 trevally, one tailor, a bream and a baby snapper. Berkley should be proud, all of the fish from todays adventures were from their products (and we tried heaps of different lures throughout the day) All fish released today. catch'n'release
  18. Well done Ray and Hutch. Looks like a good day had by you pair. Getting a Friday off, I have to get myself a job like that. We carved up today Ray including a 76cm beauty. I will post shortly. All the best Ray. Matt
  19. Good looking catch there my friend, very good indeed.
  20. Good sounds Craig. I hope you don't mind me saying but I can definately hear some Dead Kennedys in there. Hearing Utsukushii brings back some nice memories of a wild youth. Are you getting many to your gig's? Good luck with your live recordings. Matt
  21. Hello mate. Well done on the Salmon. It is a cracker. Good luck out the heads this weekend. Look forward to hearing all about it. Matt
