Hey Raiders Final post... Spent the morning with 2 mates catching squid for a feed and Jew bait... 20+ squid in an hour with a dozen of them on growth hormones... Even my mate Tom who can't catch sh1t loaded up with a few nice ones..I smashed them of cause hahaha Packed up at 11ish and back to the boat ramp before the massive southerly hit and queue of boat waiting to retrieve! Plenty kilos of squid for dinner and bait (the Jews will have no chance next Friday night!) That's it for this week... See ya Trung

Hey Raider Hit the same flats that I did last week fishing the runout tide today....cleaned up again! Tossed the hardbody lures around and there were plenty of bream and flatties jumping on them... once again the old school 5 year old cultiva and atomic lures did the damage. Fishing in water less than 1m deep. Massive schools of mullet swimming around and casting lures behind them resulted in some nice bream! Landed a good dozen flatties and bream but nothing of major... headed back to the boat ramp at lunch time and bumped into a fellow raider! Out again tomorrow for more fishing... 3 days in a row See ya out there... Cheers Trung

Hey Ben It was great meeting Johnny and yourself yesterday! Now that Stewy has shown us his #1 DOGSHARK spot hopefully next time he will actually take us to a location that has Jews as he promised! There sure is squid at roseville.. but only arrow squid. I use 1.8 or 2.0 yozuri in pink or brown.. caught sh1tloads there Fish the pontoon next to the boat ramp... cast into the edge of the light and you will get a few Cheers Trung

BTW, That picture in your profile... I actually saw you land it at Towra Point with the green boat charter you where in... I was right next to you all in my polycraft! Mate the only reason why I fish with him is because he supplies the Krispy Kream Donuts and snacks.... once they stop coming he is off the boat! I don't know how you put up with him... i only spent a few hour with stewy and I was ready to neck myself... you are one strong woman... I actually have a video recording of the morning on my GoSlow (cheap knock off of the GoPro... i'm a tightarse!)... must dig it up and post some of it here once the FishRaider website is re-classified 18+ site! Yeah it was so cool to see the flatties launch out of the water when they hit the hardbodies.... this is the first time I have used the hardbodies for flatties and I was surprised how well they work in the skinny water, will be pulling them out for often for sure! yeah, most of the fish that day including the whiting was caught on the hardbodies.... actually caught 2 whitings and both were on the Stiffy minnow by Bushy...great lures with horrible build quality! hahhaah - thanks Rob... after all the time/money I have spent chasing these buggers ... its about time I started catching 1 or 2! . Now for that charter business... might call it "BBC Fishing Charters"..... people who have been on my boat will know what it stands for!!! Cheers Trung

Some late reports... I have taken a fair few "noobs" out to Botany in the past few weeks My work mate Luke (aka smallbucks) has been fishing with bait all his life and basically caught nothing for the past 20 years hahaha Took him out and it was hard work getting squid and kings... managed a few squid but no kings... sucked! So we hit Woolooware bay with the plastics and he pulls out this gem! Nice fish mate... not bad for a plastics newbie! Fish released after a quick photo Another day and another fishraider newbie "swordfisherman" ... now this bloke knows nothing about fishing... had to show him how to tie on lures, how to cast, how to fight a fish etc etc... i questioned if he had ever been on a boat before Anyway, after much coaching even with the minimal skills that Stewy had we found some big squid, mac tuna and frigates that were busting up all over the bay.. no kings to be found however..... this is stewy enjoying the the action... what are you doing to the poor fish? Finally... last week, piles of tailor everywhere... took home a feed for the parents.. they were happy See you on the water! Trung

Hi Raiders Went for a quick solo trip yesterday as my "friends" have been staying away from my boat... due to 1) me always out-fishing them and depression setting in 2) my bad gas problem giving them nasal issues/cancer 3) all of the above.... Anyway... I avoided the usual Foreshore boat ramp and dropped the Polycraft in at the George's instead... I never fish the Georges so this was going to be more of an exploration trip than anything but the day turned out to be ok. Started out around Como and worked the edges with plastics... 2inch gulp shrimp + HWS jighead..... was expecting plenty of bream but after dozens of casts only found a few flatties.. all chucked back into the drink.... Now.. came across a shallow area with a muddy / weedy bottom and first cast I'm on! Another flatty in the mid 30s... kept using the plastics and got a few more fish but was getting plenty of weed snagging my lure too.... so I switched over to the hard-body lures... did it pay off ? Caught 20+ fish of which 16 were flatties ranging from 35 to 62cm in 2 hours... after the group photo all the fish were released ( I could only "keep" 10 fish in the live tank at a time otherwise NSW fisheries would have my ballz). The standout lure was an old orange Cultiva SP followed by grey Atomic....all fish were caught in a small 40sqm patch of water.... how deep was the water? Yup - 60cm of water! Lucky I have a minn kota or this area would not be fishable in a boat with just an outboard.... if you had a yak you would kill this spot! When the wind kicked up to 30knts it was time to go home ! Plenty of fish atm... so go get them! Cheers Trung

Great looking catch! What a difference 2 week makes with the dollies... earlier this month there was hardly anything out there! Fishbones gave me a call tonight and told me about all the fish you guys/gals nailed... top stuff! Hope to get out with you again. Cheers Trung

Been heading offshore with fellow raider Fishbones in his 7m+ boat chasing marlin and dollies... Seen and hooked a few marlin, none landed yet. Last time I fished the bay was about 2 weeks ago with aerogard Luke and my mate Pete for jewies.... They got donuts and I got a nice jew for the table. VICTOR to me again! Might see you out there this weekend... Im taking a few noobs for their first kings (hopefully) Cheers Trung
