Hi Rafinx, Like shaggytrevally, I too was frustrated with sliding snell, I went to the locked snell & prefer the locked snell now. haven't tried the rubber band yet. I dont think it will put the fish off. Ive seen people use rubber bands through the eye sockets of yakka's I dont go anywhere near sunscreen,petrol,oil or grease when Im fishing for the same reason bud.

Hi Prawnstar, The top hook does slide down, I prefer the locked snell. for that reason.

If your stuggling try using a rubber band good luck

Hi PRED-ATOR chose a japanese 4WD turbo diesel in manual, these have very good reputations. You wont regret it. I had a automatic commodore towing a 12ft tinny. ended up having transmission problems. I work for one those manufacutors & get to drive the whole range. I now have 1/2 cab quintrex. & the 4WD's are great. hope this helps

I saw a guy in a speedboat attemp something similar a Lake Conjola entrance. He kept travelling up & down the beach until there was a break, He did get out. I thought he had no chance.

Step 1 Collect bait Check (only 1 squid)Left burley at home. step 2 find fish Check step 3 rig bait check at this point Im think'n what is so hard about this. step 4 set downrigger Then it hits me. When I try to set the bomb down. keeps unclipping. step 5 Free spool the reel dumb dumb . check step 6 Sounder shows bomb deployd check. step 7 Troll over fish check step 8 Holy crap rod has gone off step 9 pull rod out of holder Holy crap not as easy as I thought. step 10 Fight fish. Holy crap didnt lift bomb. step 11 too late line wrapped around wire (ping) FISH GONE. got to see colour though There is always next time. zed

Nice, I live near the nepean river this is where i learnt to fish. Theres nothing like a surface strike that gets the heart pumping. especially when you see the wake behind the lure. That is my favourite type of lure fishing. well done zed

go the LED, I just changed my tail lights to LED after years of frustration & every outing checking the lights & changing globes. No more hassels Also just fitted LED under the gunnels & in the cab. worry free zed

Hey Fezza, That's only the start for this year wait until you start getting your utility bills if you havent already. Check the usage it'll probabley less or same but paying more. from memory 60% increase over the next 2yrs. your right about wages, from people I have spoken with most companies have been tightening up, this has a roll on effect to employees Our company is even contemplating turning lights off

I agree (NEVER TOW TRAILER UP OR DOWN BOAT RAMP WITH OUT THE SAFETY CHAIN) a few years ago at Brooklyn we just put the boat in & the car in parking area, walking down the ramp next to me was a Lancruiser with a Bigass glass boat 7or8 mtr est $100+k with wife & kids in the boat I hear a click & zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz & CRUNCH boat is off the trailer. I absolutely crapped my pants. Everyone onboard was OK. We tried to help get it back on the trailer but you know those type who know it all. We let him go it on his own. I think he ruined our day.
