on 2500 size reels I use 10lb (4lb dia) braid for flatties 20lb braid for snapper, should be OK of rat kings & bonnies. thats all I got to say about that zed

For many years now I have dismissed fishing in Sydney, for the simple fact that Sydney would have to be one of the most heavly fish area's in Australia. But my new years resolution is to make Sydney my friend. This in mind I have been trying to master the squidding. i think im doin Ok. every attemp for the past six months seems to produce something even if I hook one I manage to get them to follow my jig. Went for a quick session this afternoon straight after work. I couldn't fish the area i wanted, wind was blowing straight at me. so off the to another spot, got a little fella within a couple of casts. a few cast later got another. The wind was swirling driving me nuts. I decided to find another spot Its starting to get dark i had the rocks to myself out of no were i hear a might scream (im think'n to myself what the F%$# is that) when I look its to love doves skinny dipping. ended up with another before left for home.

someone once told me, "GET SOMEONE WHO KNOW's WHAT THERE DOING TO LOOK AT IT" Prodding & Probing can cause you more drama's. For the sake of a new light, could end up costing you thousands depending on your vehicle. It is very unusual for 1 led to be out, more than likely faulty light Zed

Hi Guys, I did the same last year aswell, how good are the LED. before, every time you go out need to check globes, tap lenses, replace globes, clean connectors. Now no more worries. zed

I was at Conjola over Xmas, a surfer was telling me there had been a hammerhead & 2 other sharks hanging about Green Is, swimmers got out of the water but some surfers didnt bother ????????? the plane & helicopters were going over every few hours. I own a number of Pacific Composite made rods & never had an issue. worst case senario & the tackle shop not doing anything about it. Depending on how much has broken off, you MAY be able to re tip it & reposition the guides. THIS WILL CHANGE THE ACTION OF THE ROD. This would be the cheapest option. Z

Hi Raider, I'm looking at purchasing a downrigger or two & wondering which one to purchase. for the raiders who use downriggers. What downrigger & model do you use are you happy with what you use if for. Im looking for something that will do both from lake(freshwater) to open ocean. Your help would would greatful. regards zed

Hi Josh88, I read somewhere that upgrading from 75 to 90 is only a computer recalibration. Im not 100% sure if this for optimax or e-tec check with Huey he may be able to confirm this. zed.

Hi Sleepy. my background is spare parts, from my experience. The USA make is twice the price in parts than the japanese makes(genuine) The japanese models have a very good reputation. Hope this helps. regards Zed
