  1. There should be just a hole where it sits in...not a nipple as such...
  2. There's a hole on your air filter where it should go...
  3. I fished budgewoi quite a lot when i was growing up....ahhhh the memories... Found to have tonnes of luck there, especially with tailor, but mostly around easter time... But there is quite a big drop off there and is always a great variety of fish.. Is about 5 minute north of soldiers beach... I found soldiers beach to be awesome for surfing....can't say i have ever fished it... But looks good to fish off the rocks there....
  4. Anything tastes good in a curry....lol The amount of meat you get out of a large PJ shark is very minimal, and their skin is very tough which blunts knives very very quickly..
  5. They are not protected at all....but I hear they are not very good eating at all....probably explains why there are heaps of them...
  6. I'll give you a tip.....take an umbrella..... On the fishing side of things....this article is not a bad start.. http://www.fishraider.com.au/fishing-articles/fishing-pittwater.php
  7. Stay away from all outboards..... Buy some oars, they are so much cheaper to service... Boats are expensive bro....no matter what engine you get... You can get duds with any make or model, no matter what anyone says.... But yeah, Evinrudes are good....as i'm sure huey will tell you... I also have a 150 Evinrude, and i can tell you, they live up to their name at times, quite "rude"... But all in all, fairly reliable, they just get expensive when something goes on them....as all outboards.
  8. Looking the goods... Theres a place in Mortdale that i've heard of that is big enough for trucks... Try googling them... Good luck...
  9. I'm not an expert on this area, but i would say they would be ok for measuring depth and finding fairly shallow reefs... But for only $100.....if its no good, well....whats $100?? Give it a go and let us know what you think of it... Nothing to lose.
  10. Moorings are taken most of the time, but the fishing is the same as any other little bay in the cowan system... Good live bait ground, squid on the edges, flatties & whiting on the flats.....etc
  11. Choppers are everywhere in the system at the moment...hard to get through them after burleying..
  12. Terrigal Wide 33 29.025 151 32.020 WGS84
  13. 20cm chopper is not legal to keep.....
  14. Texas.... But there are quite a few good reefs...you need a good sounder to find them though.
  15. It really depends on the conditions, i've done it in about 20min from lion island in fairly flat seas, but its also taken me over an hour to get back in sloppy conditions... The reef goes a fair way out with a lot of wrecks in about 100m of water....
  16. Been out twice and basically had the same result as you fishing the same areas.. They don't seem to be around in numbers this year, same as the previous few years...
  17. How about something like this......
  18. Was thinking the same....the Shimano torium would maybe be a better choice in the Shimano range than the TLD.
  19. Daiwa saltist 40 is also a very good reel for that.....
  20. You can't go past the jarvis walker VTR3 650....
  21. Alot of the guys that sell tackle online are actually tackle stores.. If you want a cheap temporary reel or rod, online is the way to go.. If you want a decent long term reel, then sure... go to the store and get some advice....
  22. If its temp, look up some reels on online shop.... Around $50 you'll pick one up....new
  23. We got a big fat zero last week too....meh
