  1. They actually have quite a sweet meat, not bad with chilli, garlic and ginger.... But like i said, a lot of bones.
  2. Crimson banded wrasse.... Not bad eating if you eat them fresh...if you dont mind picking out bones.
  3. I would also like to know.. I got a quote for a 4kw system which would cost around the 18k mark...thats including the rebate taken off too...
  4. Its not a rumour....its true... http://australianmuseum.net.au/movie/Barramundi-in-Sydney-Harbour Apparently monks let them go in there as good will or some rubbish...
  5. You can buy these from a well known boat store... They are use for storing rods on boats...
  6. Won't save you from getting a fine....but nice fish all the same..
  7. Suspension airbags will allow you to raise and lower your suspension as you need it... Thats what i did to my landcruiser....works a treat. Cost me about $400 or something like that for the rear.
  8. You should get a boat serviced and looked over before you 1st take it out for your own safety and the safety of your passengers... Anyways....check for spark and fuel....
  9. I bought a Eagle FishElite 640C from the US through the famous auction site. They go for around the $450 mark, although delivery can be a bit pricey. On top of that you will need a 32XG navionics card which are around $300.. All up, i paid under $800 for a very nice combo which i am very happy with.
  10. I assume it was the same guy that apparently caught the squid and hairtail which he has never seen before...

  12. http://www.boatnames.com.au/design-a-boatname.html Use the above site to make your name and try a few different fonts....you can also add shadows and things like that too... Thats where I ordered my sticker, they are pretty good...

  14. Like huey said though... It's hard to fix it when you don't see the problem.. Not all mechanics are dodgy..
  15. I've spoken to the water police a couple of times and they have informed me that recreation fishermen that use VHF for safety reasons only don't need a license...so don't let that steer you away from getting one Dhutchy..but i guess its a good idea to get a license as it teaches you a lot of safety issues..
  16. Man....it was so hard reading that... Its normal for the bulb to go soft"ish" after you start the engine... Although it does sound like you have a fuel pump problem...or a leak in fuel lines.. I doubt it will be anything major... Take it to Hueys...after all, he is the sponsor, not to mention he is pretty good at what he does.... there's a mobile sponsor too...right?? but he will charge a call out fee i would guess.. But check the fuel lines first..might save you a trip..
  17. That would be an 85 model i believe... And an evinrude....
  18. You are better off knowing the answers rather than them given to you..and so is everyone else on the water. The test is fairly easy though, if you know the rules, and have a bit of commonsense. here is the online quiz http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/boattest.html And you can buy the course CD online too... https://online.maritime.nsw.gov.au/OnlineBSC/ Hope that helps
  19. Yup.. Although some people would disagree... I'm sure they are eating their words now, and not anything from west of the bridge.
  20. You'll find kings most time of the year around Scotland Island. There are a few wrecks here and there.
  21. I've been there late Sunday night launching a boat...and there were P platers hanging out there then.. I felt like calling the cops, but they seemed to be just hangin out, doin the odd "burn out"...nothing me and my mates didn't do when we 1st got our licenses... Maybe 24hr taped camera surveillance would be a good idea, with better lighting.
