  6. I use them always,,, they are the best IMO,, I have them for sale if you would like to buy them in lots of 10 (only in 5/0 hook 2 different colours),, $5 each= $50 for 10 + postage,,,I couldnt see postage more than $5 so would be $55 including postage for 10 sure beats paying $12-$15 for the Black Magic ones email me idolzz@hotmail or call me 0414334412 Anthony
  7. If your on a budget,, if you have a 'smart phone' as in new techo phone eg. iphone, new nokia You can download NAVIONICS Marine map, I downloaded it to my Nokia N8, it does tracking and has a really good clear map, You can put waypoints in,as far as I know, I havent really used it alot as my boat has a GPS but it is a great second option, it works pretty much like you normal Marine GPS, it doesnt have as many fancy functions. I think I paid about $12-$15 for it(the application),, i think the one for an iphone is about $30 It is a cheap option that may get you out of trouble one day if you needed it PS I dont own or work for that company PSS: The download took me quite some time to do and instal,, but in the end it worked

    T - Tops

I fitted one of these to my centre console,,, Yes they are flimsy,,,, I strengthened mine up,,, i put a plate of aluminium across the two upright poles to mount my outboard control box (on the left side 2 poles),, i put another 2 wide aluminium thick strips above this one each side to mount my nav lights to, I put a perspex screen on the front of it,,,, and I ran another 2 long strips from the front of the top(near where the rope holding the canvas) down on an angle downwards going across and attached to the front upright pole and then attaching at the rear upright pole(near where the bend is),, All alloy was riveted with large pop rivets,,, It is now very sturdy,,,,
  9. sounds like the seal is dry,,,, jack it up and spray wd40 into the inner side of the seal, try to lift the seal up a bit as you do it (on the inside) ,,,,if the noise goes away then i suggest you get a small screw driver and lift the seal lip up and place some grease under it
  10. Great idea to have the doors/tackle storage incorporated into them!!!
  11. I ran a thicker positive and negative fused wire to a Buss bar to the console of my boat,,, then every electrical component can be wired back to that through a switch panel.......All lighting on my boat is LED (Nav lights, anchor light, and general lighting (LED strips)to save the battery,, i also have a 10watt solar panel wired into the system through a regulator
  12. Im not a fan of Electric reels,,,, i dont see the sport in it,,, mind you im lazy and dont fish over 100mtrs,,, It shits me ( I mus be gettin old!) pullin fish up out of 100mtrs with a 4.2 ratio reel.....

  19. I bought the bottle kits and serviced mine myself (its not rocket science!),,, i dont what the 'law' is and im sure the Maritime service wouldnt know either, as there are many different circumstances(yeah service them once a year),, , the government makes the rules but never actually clarifies exactly what is required, Im a mechanic by trade,,, does that give me the right to service this device??? or somebody with a lesser qualification that is an "authorised agent"??? I know my life jackets were serviced correctly..... Anthony
  20. I have a Stessco 625 Shotgun centre cab plate boat,,, i have never had a problem with it,,,, Im sure there may be better boats out there,,, before i bought it i was going to buy a Barcrusher but it was too expensive,,, then had my eye on a Formosa
  21. I do RTA inspections (Im not trying to drum up business!) As long as the lights work, it isnt rusted, isnt bent out of shape, has good tyres and mudguards and the coupling is in good order you shouldnt have too many problems. and yes no probs if the boat is still on there! Anthony
