I have 2 Silstar Crystal Blue 6-10 kg rods and 3 Crystal Pro 6-10Kg, 2 have 8000D baitrunners 3 have 4500 baitrunners,,, my 6-8kg Crystal blues have a 6000D baitrunner and a Pflueger 7640SS reel,, my 3-6kg crystal blues and pro have a 4000D baitrunner and an Okuma Salina 40.

Thanx for that.... i went to look at the ramp last friday,,,,It would be a good ramp if they spent a bit of money on it,,,, it seems to have a huge drop off at the end of the ramp only about 3 metres out,,, I dont know if a trailer would drop right in off it or not....I have a 21 foot plate boat and a 15 foot tinnie,,, I mite take the tinnie down for a run.... Thanx again..

great effort!! i love catching Bonies, they have the weirdest pull to them,, they seem to dart from side to side makes it all so much more interesting!.....mind you i dont mind catching any fish!!!!

Can anybody give me the heads up on Malabar boat ramp,,, Im wondering if it is in use and what size boats are suitable for launching there? Anthony

I didnt catch it in a trap,,,, but i caught a rod and reel,, fishing off the Rosebay wharf,,, it was still like new,,, so it hadnt been there long...

last sunday I had a calf and mother swim past the boat while we where fishing about 5kms off Clovelly,,, funny the whale watchers where about 2kms in away from us,,, and seeing nothing!!!!! they are pretty common out there,,,,,just dont want them to surface under my boat!!!!!...or take my line!!!!!

Just wondering if anybody can tell me how to replace the hooks on a Shimano Lucanus Jig,,, to me it is impossible,,, the hooks wont go backwards inside the jig and the ring obviously doesnt go through the jig,,,,, im am looking to upgrade to heavier hooks,,,BUT even the replacement hooks made by Shimano,,, i cant see how you get the ring off??

That is mainly all you catch off those rocks,, i have seen the odd 'size' flathead and have heard of (never seen them) Kingfish being caught there,, any fisheries inspector that was to mosey on down there on a summers evening would have a field day....

If your out in a boat and something can go wrong it normally will,,,,In my boats i have back up systems after back up systems for all situations, it is all at a cost and takes up more room, as well as time,,,, but i have never been let down yet,,,,, not to mention the time it takes to maintain all equipment on a boat,,, the salt water is very harsh on everything!!!!
