  1. That Trev looks like a small GT? The little guy looks like he is very proud of his fish. As he should be! Thanks for sharing a memorable time with your boy. Cheers Paikea
  2. Lovely looking water, what type/size of boat where you fishing from? Cheers Paikea
  3. That is why they call it "Fishing", not "Catching"! Cheers Paikea
  4. Like your post, a mixture of glad and sad observations. Always like posts that go beyond fishing and describe other issues (bed & why Rushcutters's bay etc) makes for interesting reading. Thanks for sharing Cheers Paikea
  5. Don't know his name but he is holding a "Grinner". Please, I am joking. Cheers Paikea

  10. Nice Flounder Yowie, that would have made great eating. With your regular as clockwork posts always listing fish that you have caught you are becoming a bit of a legend on this site. Cheers Paikea
  11. That is a top fish and great pics. Love those silver spots down the lateral lie of the fish. Fresh out of the water they are one of the most handsome fish. Like your list of PB's as well, very impressive, you obviously love your fishing. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Paikea
  12. Nice fish and great pics, keep them coming. Cheers Paikea
  13. That is enormous! It fills the bucket. And that is not luck, firstly great skill to see it, then think quickly to get the net, net it without it haring off and then dodging those monster claws. A top effort. Is there a record for Mud crab? Cheers Paikea
  14. Does that have only one clamp onto the rail or is there a support leg as well? Cheers Paikea
  15. In my book, salmon patties with some chillies and parsley will beat Bream any day. Yum! Cheers Paikea
  16. I always wash my pump out with fresh water after use and as for the plunger rubber I have a lifetime supply of thongs(the ones for your feet)that I make new plunger washer rubbers from when required. Never heard of using thongs for washers but what a great idea. Thanks Fab, Cheers Paikea
  17. Hi Billy. Is that a Trailcraft you fish out of? Love to see some more pics of your boat Cheers Paikea
  18. Horses! Dangerous at both ends and bloody uncomfortable in the middle. Please to hear that their food is good for something. In case you haven't guessed I am one of those Dad's who fell for "can I have a pony pleeeaaase, I will look after it, promise" and then spent every morning travelling down to Otford to feed it and clean out it's stable. That was more than 40 years ago but memories flooded back when my Granddaughter jumped on my knee, gave me a big hug out of nowhere and (you guessed it) "Can I have a Pony? At just on three year old she has a way to go but she has planted the seed. Fortunately they live way up Byron way so Simon (son in law) can have the pleasure of early morning feeds if she ever gets her pony. In the meantime I got on the bandsaw and cut out a toy "Pony" that will have to do for now. Cheers all you Granddad's Paikea
  19. I always found yabby pumps to be very sturdy and not prone to damage. But seems a good method to keep them out of the way. Cheers Paikea
