Hi Raiders have currently got a Silstar exon reel (nice and cheap) and need a new rod for it. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Definitely no more than $150. Was looking at Shimano dropshot. Thanks

why do they let them stay in the comp but eligible for points? they should either kick them out completely or just put them on -30 points or something

in the last few months we have hired boats from Booker Bay, which resulted in a few bream and flatties, but i think the best place by far to fish is the Davistown wharf. (from the wharf, not a boat...) Evry time i go there i manage to get a few fish, the most recent being a 57 cm flathead.

yeh it is really fancy now- was there this afternoon. They have a big metal ramp and another woodenish one. why did they bother though?

this probably isnt too helpful but i was near Roseville Bridge today with some prawns and probably only got 5 bites (at once) in two hours. dont know if it was just me but there were quite a few people along the shore not catching anything. I then went to Tunks Park and it was a similar situation there.

Yeh i somehow got a squid jig tangled with my swivel while fishing off Davistown wharf (also a 57 cm flattie woo new PB) so was hoping there was squid somewhere there
