  1. Maybe don't try cast netting...
  2. 2500 size would match a bit better with a 2-4kg rod, especially with the light ci4 reels.
  3. Rarenium What rod's it being matched to?
  4. 3 night Jew trip starting Thursday... Reports getting me keen... Want a REALLY big one this time. Anyone got tips for targeting purely the bigger fish?

  5. 4/0-10/0. Usually around 6/0,7/0. I like suicide/octopus styles.
  6. That's amazing. Awesome fish. Feeling better about my 3 nights up there this week. Well done
  7. Thanks; it's due on the 4th of May but I'm trying to get as much done ASAP so once we get other work during the term it will be easier.
  8. Please have a look at survey in fishing chat- its now much simpler :)

  9. I have heard that bright sunny days= bright colours; darker, overcast days = dark colours And clean water maybe a more natural colour like bloodworm , dirty water something brighter/ less natural e.g bright pink
  10. Yeah the original survey had a bit more detail in that part, but I had to make it a bit less complicated. The opening paragraph says 'in a situation where you would usually use a line labelled 4lb' but yes, that can certainly be many different things. Thanks everyone who's done it so far, and the feedback is also appreciated as it can go in my discussion.
  11. If you go Brisbane waters, try some plastics in Paddy's channel and along the Saratoga shoreline (if you're going up around there). Bloodworm wrigglers, powerbait 3inch minnows, squidgy shads all work pretty well on 1/32-1/8 heads. I was going to enter the comp, but I was too late... Good luck!
  12. Updated the survey; it's now 50 times easier, it's in fishing chat please have a look and take the time

  13. Ok I haven't had too many replies, and a few people said that it's too complicated, so I've updated the questions and hopefully now it's a lot simpler and easier to understand. It will seriously take under a minute just to answer the first question (the important one) and if you have a bit more time it would be great if you could answer the others as well. Here's the link again http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/93X9TSF I need a lot of replies and I'm running out of time, please help

  15. Please check out my survey in fishing chat

  16. Hey everyone For a school science project I have been testing the diameter, breaking strain and stretch of lines. The final step is this survey, which will hopefully determine which one is the 'best' (based purely on the 3 things I have measured). Please only do this if you have over 30 posts. This is to 'improve validity' and if the results are similar to those I receive on the Facebook survey, it confirms the validity of the Facebook survey. For the same reason, if you have already done the Facebook one, could you please do this one as well. I need a lot of responses, so if you can take a few minutes to do this I would really appreciate it. Please email any questions Here Thanks Survey p.s I will certainly be posting the results.
  17. The supergraph 5120s awesome and only about $150 but it's 10 foot not 12
  18. Caught a ~45cm tailor on the rocks that go off to the side of a nude beach at middle head. Funny bit was all the people in boats that came and watched the beachgoers

Depends where.... Hawkesbury nothing but 50lb for me, the harbour on the other hand, 20 is fine. Really it's fish size, harbour will be pushing 10kg max, Hawkesbury, we still get done over from time to time on 50!

I used to live nearby and did a lot of night fishing. I used to use 20-30lb mono. But after some regulars told me that their 50lb mono leaders were bitten off (and I was present for one of those occasions), I switched to 32lb wire leader. If you are using squids, I certainly recommend that [i am no expert, just from local experience].
