  1. Did you get a water temp reading. I have been on the harbour twice this week and haven't seen any pelagics at all. I know the fresh water has probably pushed alot out to see, but it seems as though the harbour is dead. Nobody seems to be scoring this week
  2. I went out chasing them on Wednesday around the markers. I was using squid strips, only hooked up once only to be busted off. They were really picky and I just ended up giving up as it was super frustrating. Up in Port Stephens I had them in the Burley trail all day and not eating anything, just looking at the other fish.. Amazingly frustrating
  3. Yeah i bought the Century from Battery Direct for $42 delivered. Supercheap didnt have any
  4. Is this the one you were talking about Online Battery
  5. Yeah gonna grab one now on online shop, if it's crap your taking the blame fishon, haha
  6. My 25hp is manual start and changing it to Electric start would be too much of a hassle. The jet ski battery sounds like a good option. As I'm barely running anything on it.
  7. Hi just wondering what type of battery I should get for my boat. I have a 4.3m tinny. I haven't had any electrics in it till now. Just bought a fish finder and new lights. So I really will only be using the battery for the fish finder. I don't wanna spend to much anyway. I saw a Century 43t (Deep Cycle) for $135. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kurt
  8. I coach rowing, so I am on the Parramatta river 5 days a week and get to see alot. The last two weeks I have seen pelagics right up the river. Last week I saw Bonito in Tarban Creek and near the Drummoyne boat ramp, but today was the highlight. Just off Searls monument (between Abbotsford Wharf and Gladesville Bridge), there was a reasonable size school busting up on the surface. I knew it was kings as soon as I saw the splashes, but drove over to check it out. Rats to about 60cm and not that afraid of the boat. Just wish I has the boat. I think it's amazing that we are seeing them so far west of the Bridge. The river must be getting so much cleaner, but can imagine this wet weather will push them back out.
  9. Thanks to those that messaged me, but just bought one
  10. Was out there on Wednesday. Long Tom everywhere. They don't put up much of a fight though. Surface action was a bit slow, looked a little calm for any substantial surface activity.
  11. Hi All. Been looking for a tinny between 3.5-4.1m. 15-25hp motor, trailer, carpet. Want to spend around $3500. Will travel inside NSW to pickup. If you know of any let me know. online shop is pretty spare at the moment as is Gumtree. Thanks Kurt
  12. Pretty sure the fish feeding on these baitfish are Striped Tuna. They are moving super fast. I couldn't hook up on them either.
  13. If your looking for bonito, look no further than Balmain. The bonito are right up the harbor. Have seen them on the surface as far back as Gladesville Bridge. But biggest schools of Longeville Sailing Club and Birchgrove/Balmain. Will take anything and have got some up to 3kgs.
  14. I was up there towards the end of January. One fish dominated the trip. BONITO. Got 50 in one afternoon session most on fly though, just off Corlette Point. Very hard fishing the bay/port these days with all the exclusion zones. Can't really drift down port stephens anymore
