Took the family to port stephens for our annual weekend away. Stayed at one mile beach. Decided to take the family fishing at the marina breakwall. Got there around 4pm. Only got around 2hrs before it gets dark. Rigged one rod with float and the other one with paternoster. Only got chicken fillet for bait. Gave the rod with the float to my eldest son robie and the other one to my youngest son matt. Robie was only getting nibbles but matt landed 6 fish in one hr. A bream a trev a snapper and three rock fish. Matt told me he had the best time of his life. All the fish caught went back to grew more. Packed up around 6pm. Matt askef me if we can go fishing again at the same spot next time. Looks like I got another new recruit. Matt is 7 robie is 17. Both of them are now very keen fishos like me. I started fishing back in winter 2008 and im still as keen as ever. Fishing is now part of my family life. Thats all I think about everyday 24/7. Thanks for reading. Hi all Took my Penn 760 to my local tackle shop for repairs. The drag became faulty when me and my mates Steve and Rohfel fought a monster off the beach recently. My reel was sent away for repairs and two weeks later I got the call that my reel is ready. Went and pick up my reel and was totally surprised that I got a brand new one for free. How good was that. I got my other Penn 950ssm spool replaced for free as well. Been using Penn reels for over five years now and I loved them. Caught alot of fish off the rocks and beaches and haven't let me down.

My mate Steve went out yesterday and caught 2 yft around 30kg and alot of albys

Mate I think the spot is called yellow rock located at Maroubra Very dangerous spot The one at long bay im not 100% if its Julianne also a dangerous spot Both spots have claimed alot of fishos Be very careful on going to new spots Always take someone with you and always check the conditions

Hi all I'm currently looking for a rod carrier big enough to carry my beach/rocks fishing rods I already got a 3m pvc tube and 2.2m rod bag but I need something that will be big enough to carry a fully rig beach setup I use alveys and spin reels which are too big for the pvc and the bag Thanks for any tips and suggestions

We got nothing. We left the marina around 6am. Got back around 6pm. We Trolled cubed bottom bash at browns. Trolled the spot where boats caught the yft and bft last Saturday but we didn't turn the reel. Saw a couple of tunas on the sounder while cubing but the tunas didn't want to play. We cubed from 2pm to 4pm. The spot was 13nm se of browns. One boat caught a yft when we left.Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
