  1. Hi, Can I ask another question. When life jackets become compulsory on the rocks which they will be down the track. Will Police and fishing inspectors be checking life jackets ? I wear a waist belt which is very comfortable. It is a 150N and it has AS4758 approved stamped on it. Happy new year to everybody.
  2. Hi, North Entrance, Magenta, Hargraves. Take your pick. I don't think the Council allows 4x4 on their beaches. Cheers.
  3. Hi, When you put the PVC tubes in the sand, take a small hand spade with you it makes life easier. Western Australian pilchards are the best. You can buy them in NSW. Some tackle shops have them. When I am beach fishing I use fresh squid, you can buy it at Woolworths or Coles Also fresh mullet is great.. Cheers.

  6. Hi, Yes, I use spin reels all the time. As I said I might have had a bad batch of Platypus. I go rock fishing so I am about to try another brand, Penn Super X. From what I am told it is a good product. Mono of course. We will see. The rocks up here will test anything. Cheers.
  7. Hi, I understood Platypus was a good brand. I bought the pink low stretch. It just didn't last like good quality Mono lines do. I only use Mono and I buy the best brands. Maybe it is just me or I bought a bad batch, that can happen. Cheers.

I bought them off Dinga , he gave me the best price. I have just bought a Ecooda Black Hawk 2 5000 Reel. This reel had excellent reviews. Cheers.

  11. Hi All, I read the whole detailed article above elsewhere. If it makes life easier wear it. This is the start, there is more of these inventions on the way. When I was a lifesaver many moons ago it was belts rope & reels. Times change & more up market gear arrives. I carry an Epirb, wouldn't leave home with out it. Cheers
