Hi all need some help please, buying a new boat as my 4.2 brooker is bit too small, i mainly fish rivers but want to go outside every now and than, im lookin for a aluminuim 5 to 6m under $20,000 half cabbin would be nice, what would be the 3 top brands to look for are quintrex still very reliable?
  2. Hi all, does the reef at middle grounds in jervis actualy rise out of the water or do waves break there,everytime i try go there its always been too rough in my 4.15 boat from the swell, does any1 know any reefs near murrays? Thanx

  4. Hi mate i have a diesel hilux sr5 turbo weve had a few problems with the injectors and tht, we have spent bout 6000 in repairs last 2 years, some1 else i know has the vitara diesel also had problems aswell, i also own a petrol grand vitara and love it never lets me down

  7. I have a brooker 4.15 metre i use a cargo net up front like u said but i stil need even more room lol it never stops

  9. Hi mate i took both them seats out u have and stored a long bench seat that goes accross the boat can fit 3 at the front and it lifts up to store heaps of stuff in it
  10. Hey mate if u go to murrays beach car park and walk the tracks takes u to a few rock cliffs they can be dangerous on the wrong days but u can catch kings, bonito,salmon pritty much anything. They are also half an hour plus walks. Callala bay has rocks beside the beach can be good fishing there for bread and butter and lot safer too
  11. Srry i mean there are 3 or 4 buoys at the back of south west arm burly up 1 at a time til u find the bait
  12. Hi as soon as u enter swa there is a drop off that sometimes has salmon around. The back of swa where the moorings are usualy has slimys, yellowtail and sardines u can sometimes get kingfish there
  13. Hey mate swa or gymea is usualy good places to start
  14. Hey mate bit shallow on low tide but can catch big bream and squid at night if they are on, always stingrays and sharks there at night
  15. Thts a good sesh u be happy with tht were u getting the sweep in gymea there is like a million of them there this year
  16. Hey mate Iv got a yamaha 30 i use the quicksilver and mix 100 to 1 had it for 5 years now and take it out pritty much every weekend havent had an issue yet i add just a touch over to be safe say 95 to 1

Hey mate i wouldn risk it if theres a chance of wind picking up, i have a 4.2 aswell and we fished 2 fridays ago,when it hit 8pm gale force wind came out of nowhere we quickly pulled anchor and drove slowly to yowie bay there were 1 metre waves in there, as i turned to the right the boat tiped right over and we both fell to the ground i had to face the boat to the waves and slowly crept to the moored boats to moore up til it was safe luckily we were in the river, i rarely check the weather i wil be now though lol

  19. Hey mate also look out for the schools of tailor in there we got two 80cm plus tailor and lost a monster looked in the 90cms plus
  20. Also gymea is another good spot if u catch the pillies they are good for kings unweighted but havent seen the pillies last couple of months dont know where they have gone
  21. Yeah can get big fish there for ur first time be best to go when there is plenty of light cause u need to walk down a cliff can be dangerous if u havent been before
  22. Hey mate its jervis bAy u park at murrays beach its a 40 min walk good fishing spot
