Across from sandy point is a boat shed can use his ramp cost u 5 dollars has parking and there is no time it closes so u can stay out as long as u want

If im coming from brooklyn way as soon as i turn into cowan that point there i always catch yakkas i anchor just inside the point

I bought a live bait tank from a boat store its a bit dear round 200 dollars u probably could make 1 cheaper thats if ur fishing from a boat

Hey mate iv use them before caught 12 yakkas night before and 4 died by mornin which wasnt too bad i found if ur bucket is a round shape they last longer cause iv used eskys in the past and they seem to get stuck in the corners and die alot quicker also if 1 looks like its dieng take it out

Servo bait is crap better catching ur own bait if not go to a seafood store and buy prawns there or slimy mackeral and fillet that and also use berley when u fish it helps.try ur spots again using this method if u still dont catch fish than look for a new spot i use to always use servo bait fresh bait makes a very big difference

Has any1 caught jews inside flint and steel bay cause there is hardley any current in there its more relaxing to fish

Thanx for the replys i usualy put out a live yakka and poddy mullet out every weekend never have caught anything on the mullet but the yakka have caught kings and big flathead maybe il just try all 3 and hope i dont get tangles and see what works best. I did put out a live garfish for the 1st time saturday and got a 63cm flathead

Hey all what would be better for a jewfish in the river live other than squid. There are alot of topics on how live garfish are good for kings but if u had a choice for a jew what would be the pick out of the 2

Off jibbon rocks has big bream at times and could try the beach there for a flathead also warnumbal has bream at times too

Hey yowie have u caught any decent Jews in gymea iv only caught undersized 1s at the entrance on the corner of gymea

Yeah only been getting undersized snapper nothin much happening Saturday night was all wind and rain hopefully the weather gets good on the weekend saw a really small school of salmon at Lilli pilli but wouldn't take my smallest lure they were very small salmon aswell hopefully the schools of bonito and kings come back in soon

Hey mate there is a rock to ur right of the warf I use to fish there when I was a kid so I guess it's Pritty safe if ur there with him i cant remember if u can fish there at high tide though check it out we use to catch reef whiting bream and port Jackson sharks and I heard sometimes they get morwong there. Around the moored boats we have caught a blue whiting locals down there say they are common and also if ur in ur kiyak about 100 meters straight out from the wharf there is a little reef we have caught bream and legal snapper there and be prepared for the smell near the wharf as there is usually washed up weed along the bay at certain times of the year and it stinks real bad anyways good luck

Also I should add I'm fishing from a boat and 5 jewfish from the hacking is usually good as though the hacking is not know as a jewfish waterway but I go every weekend for the past 5 years I thought I would of caught more even though I don't always target them. Iv also tried live yellowtail and mullet with no luck only caught the Jews on soft plastics would live beach worms and squid be better in the hacking. With the kingies iv had a way better success rate in the hacking with live yellowtail over squid I thought the jewfish mite be the same and squid can be a pain to catch sometimes thanx again

Hey all just signed up this my first post I'm lookin to catch jewfish in the port hacking any tips of any good spots iv only caught 5 there 4 of them were 40cm and one was 70cm just want a more consistent spot any help will be greatly appreciated
