hi all headed up as planned fished just near the pool as the waves were hammering the wall in 2 hours had one good run and when i loaded up nothing caught a couple of bream on the small rod that where 28 to 30 they went back to the father and laws place for a feed cheers miller p.s im heading up in march for a week i cant wait to give the jews a proper go

hi all headed out friday night to get squid for sat to chase kings got to the usual spot for squid at about 8.30 and in 2 hours had my bag of 20 So of for a sleep, woke at 4.30 and ran into netic and big steve had a chat about the days adventure and we set off well the sun was shinning for the first time in a long time! and this must have scared all the kings away i tried every marker in the harbour for nothing but pickers so i head to seaforth to anchor up and cook some breaky. Set the rods out with last 2 live squid and as it always happens just as u are about to attack the BE roll both rods get smacked so with the BE roll turfed i grabed the first rod and strike and im on, a couple of winds and back in the rod holder it goes Turn and grab the second rod and strike fell go pressure then the drag starts to sing this is a better fish so i try and turn his head but i can fell the leader grinding on something then ping the leader pops i wind it in to see the leader shredded a bit more Then i remember the other rod is still connected turn and start to wind its still on a short fit follows and a 70cm king is boated that was the end of the bait so i headed off home picked the crab pots up, on the way home for 4 females all released and 1 nice male so not a bad day but not the one i had planed cheers miller

hi mate there are plenty of threads for rigging squid go to seach and have a look a couple of quick answers 1/squid alive and whole when ur running low on live squid strip them up. 2/rigs sliding snell with stinger treble top hook in the top of the hood and the stinger just above the head or pinned in the head. cheers miller

i have to agree my outfit for jews is a FSU 6120 and alvey cant go past it for distance when casting big baits cheers miller

mate i use surface lures and have seen blokes using live worms and get some bass small float small hook and a little bread will bring u some mullet if you type in the search section on the main page u will find heaps of thread on the wier cheers miller

hi mate there are bass/mullet/carp /herring/eel tail catfish at the weir you can use corn n bread for mullet/herring/carp and lures for bass or worms cheers miller
