hi all i have one of those single burners that takes a can in the little cases i have cooked in all types of weather and swell and never had a problem for food we usally have snags eggs bacon onions and rolls if i want something real nice we take some scotch fillets or marinated chiken kababs and fryed rice and just heat the rice up after cooking the meat awsome cheers miller

hi all This is just my expereince when downrigging I dont now how many times ive been downrigging an area on the same path for a period of time. to turn around and have boats start anchoring in the path im downrigging should i give way (i dont think so)if i turn up to a spot and there are boats anchored up i steer clear or if there is another boat DR ill watch then see if i can join in the run while keeping my distance so to all those that complain about DRs it works both ways cheers miller

i tried to get throw on the phone today and didnt get that far pete ill try again later it looked like the tape had been ripped off just bent back and forth till it snapped it is not capped and it has been turned off at the fitting under the table and the handle removed so someone turned it off and removed the handle hope this helps cheers miller

hi all i was not happy when i went to clean my fish on sun and found the tap on the cleaning table had been ripped off when did this happen? who do i get in contact with to get it repaired? cheers miller

hi all this mite sound crazy but when i first started squiding an old bloke told me to clean the spikes of the jigs with a tooth brush after every outing to clean all the muck and crap that builds up over time and it seems to work for me i probly drop 1 in 20 i run 12lb braid and 15lb leader and never had a prob cheers miller

plastic rod holders are for bream fishing so i wouldnt run them unless u need some new outfits cheers miller

hi all just a quick one headed out sat night for bait for sunday got to the usaul spot for squid have heard reports of no squid in the harbour so i was a bit worried at first but me and tj managed our bag limit in 4 hours so off to bed up at 5 and off to north head tj first up first pass with the dr and tjs on 70cm king landed im next turn and past over the same spot rod loads up im on push the drag up and ping gone that was the last hit for the day on the dr moved back to the spit to cook breaky send the rods down with squid tj cooking breaky i turn around to see his rod double over a short fit and a 45cm samson fish hits the deck and that was it for the the day no fish for me arwell one of those days cheers miller p.s will add pics later

hi stumpy all you have to do is lay down some mono like 2 runs [layers] of mono so the braid wont slip under drag and the braid fills the spoil to the correct level im not sure what capacity the 50w is but u can roughly work out how much mono to run by the capacity of the spool if u ever make it to the joining not your in trouble anyway i just spoiled one of mine with 80lb braid and 50lb mono backing just use a double uni it will still run through the guides hope that helps cheers miller

hi dos try some lures hardbodies,spinnerbaits and when the sun goes down some surface walkers or poppers should have you nailing some nice bass in no time cheers miller

hi mate i run my rods loaded up when down rigging to set the hooks, as you have said above i have had no problem with any rod i have used cheers miller

hi mate i use a treble as the stinger and have had great results with better hook up rates i just lightly pin the squid near the mouth or in a tenticle they last just as long as when i was using a single hooh as a stinger hope this helps cheers miller

hi skramp the rig i use of breakwall with lives is swivel ,sinker of choice ,swivel and a short leader 30cm seems to work ok for me and i fish an hour either side of the tide when the current is the slowest when fishing from the wall you will always lose riggs theres nothing you can really do to stop it cheers miller

hi mate If u use yakkas and downrigg them dont pin them in the back as they will die! When towing them around. You can bridle them, I just pin them throw the noise or from the bottom jaw straight up throw the top jaw pinning there mouth closed hopes this helps cheers miller

hi mate depends on your rods and reels i run 50lb mono and 60lb to 80 lb trace and im steeping up to 80lb braid for main line just waiting for it to turn up when u run braid you still run mnon or fluro carb for the trace cheers miller
