Hi, I came across a good looking boat the other day, every thing looks good until I read it has been anit-fouled. Only issue I have is obviously it has been sitting in the water, but because I don't know the history, could this cause any concern to the hull at all? Weaken it if not done regularly? From the pictured I can see they have painted it black, just hope they are not covering anything. Would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Hi, Boat I am interested in has a 2007 Suzuki 4stroke motor with 300 hours and every service recorded. What are your thoughts? Should be trouble free right?

Hi Guys, The boat is not much, around $2k mark. I enjoy stripping and building things. But I have never had a boat with a bad floor or transom. Does anyone know how much I am looking at if I was to strengthen it?

GIO was cheaper than all of the above if you are after cheap. Just read the Terms etc to make sure you hare happy with them. Wonder if Coles will have insurance for boats soon, because that would be even cheaper!

The new garmin LED screens are nice, but Lowrance now have a nice new range too. I would presonally get another lowrance.

I really enjoy doing the electronics on my boat. NOthing better than doing it yourself and doing it properly the first time. Glad you got it sorted

I had a 1300kg fibreglass boat that I pulled with my Front wheel drive honda accord out of the ramps easy. So any soft roader with rear assist I guess will be just an added bonus!

Hi Mate, I had a mariner that did something very similar, although it didn't cut out. The issue with mine was the fuel line. It was so old that the inside began to rot away and blocked up the fuel entering the engine. I would get it looked at first, but other wise I would just get another engine if you can afford it.

I am looking at the Tournament 2000. I really want a boat where I can stay overnight. Boats I was considering: Cruise craft 595 Outsider - cabin too small HHS 600/595 Profish - cabin too small I think. Can't seem to find one in nsw to view. Haines Sig 602F I have seen the T2000 and I'm pretty sure I liked it but would like to hear some stories.

Hey mate, If you're new to boating I would go second hand first. There are a lot of things that you will learn on the water and maybe have little incidents like running aground, hitting a jetty or trailer etc. well that was me but you wouldn't feel as bad on a second hand boat. If you are worried about having motor issues etc, just get a fairly modern one, second hand. My opinion anyway. Good luck
