Is there a boat race on this weekend in Darling Harbour?

My mates are planning on going out tomorrow to one of the fads, about 10ks out, im not sure which one, but I believe its around 10kms out from Lion Island! Just looking for the weater tomorrow and Im not sure if its good to go in a 5.25 Bowrider out there, what do you guys think? The report states waves of 2.0metres, what does that actually mean? Hey guys, I am thinking of buying an old boat! I don't have time or the skill to renovate one, but i was wondering if anyone knows somebody that does this for a living and is good at it? If you can send me their details and how much im looking at for new carpet, windshield, seats, paint etc that would be great! And if you have some pics of before and after, that would be great!! How do these socials actually work? Sorry for the silly questions to follow! Me and a few mates are considering attending, we have a boat and gear, but we don't really know anyone! What time do we meet up? How long does it go for? Do we follow someone to a spot and start fishing or do we all split up? Just found the details of the day But still wondering how the fishing bit works! Do we all split up? I don't have any kingy experience, so I guess a bit of a guide would be good!

http://www.quintrex.com.au/BoatRange/BM49F...eedomSport.aspx If you look at the specs on the right, it says: Number of People (Basic): 7 Max Load (Basic): 833kg Number of People (Level): 5 Max Load (Level): 653 kg So im assuming taking 7 adults and having basic floatation should be fine right ?

I've been to terrigal two times over the last 3 weeks and I sit by the ramp and watch all the boats come in. These guys are bringing in Eskis full of fish!!! Sambos, Kingfish, Trevallies etc. Is there a good reef outside Terrigal? This guy brought in a MassIVE LIZARD, would of been round a metre I think!! I was there while the fisheries where also inspecting all the fish and emasuring them!

Thanks everyone for their wise words of wisdom and encouragement At the moment, I'm still not 100% sure, but I was looking at a 469/89 Stacer Easy Rider or the Quintrex 490 Freedom Sport. Don't know yet if I'm going to spend that much yet though! Depends as I have a passion for cars too I want to much, not enough dough $$$

Hey guys, have a question. Saw a Quintrex 490 today, it had a plate (attached) saying Basic flotation 7 Adults, and Buoyancy Level 5 adults. So does that mean I can have 7 adults on that boat? I've had a boat before, but never did the towing or the launching. Do you think by purchasing a new 4.90m boat, might be a bit difficult at first? Should I opt for a smaller boat first until I learn all the ropes to boating first and then upgrade?
