Hey guys went out today left botany bout 6 am at browns in no time , put a spread an headed to 500 fathom line north east brown s . Trolled for a good 2 hours best water was 19.3 . Trolled back to browns which was a car park . Wishing I took bait to bottom bash as lots of gems been caught ! Trolled back to 12 mile in afternoon for nothing ! All in all great day on the water an expiereneced travelling the widest I've been in my boat . From 140 liter tank still had about 30 liters left !

Well going to have a crack anyway I guess ! Can't catch fish with boat on trailer ! See use out there best of luck

Mate I'd love to head that far wide but in a 6.1 Barcrusher I'll stay in closer an give it a good crack ! Beats been at home ! Call sign blue label

Hey raiders been in brisbane working all week an seeing all these reports an talking to mates that are catching tuna . So I'm hoping to my Barcrusher onto its first tuna ! Anyone else heading out I'll be heading out of botany . How's the forecast lookin

I fished off maroubra on Sunday in 60m an only cut off once ! Plenty of current around maybe that's why I was lucky . Plus a good feed aswell

Running south mate !! We were in 60 m an it was about 3 knots

Headed out of botany today was meant to head south but a fellow raider said not to as to too many jackets so planned to my usual grounds off botany ! Current was roaring all day an a stiff westerly found it hard to hold bottom even under anchor . Ended up with some great snapper an my first trag ! All in all great days fishing !

A mate hooked a large fin south of cronulla at round 2500 fathoms . I'll wait till they come In closer .

Hey mate.. like fishmanic says you can subscribe to sites like ripcharts or SST & get much better shots to see the edges, currents & water altimetry. The bluefin will be on the cooler side of the break & generally like the slower currents. We have used the charts for years & we look for similar water patterns & temperatures to areas where we have caught fish in the past. Good luck with it & im sure there are other people on here that will have more knowledge & information than me. Hopefully you get some more responses. Hey Quick question when reading sst charts to find the best water for tuna what would you be looking for . Is this picture would the best water be wide off narooma . I always here there's a good etty around is that where the currents slow down an trap bait . Just trying to learn how to read an put in into plan to get my first tuna

What's depths did u fish ! Well I was going to go south aswell but stuck to my trusty spot ! Perfect time of year to hit up belambi the inshore reefs there have plenty of snapper !!

The jackets cut the line up in the water column twice an I was fishing in 60m of water ! Snapper was 2.5 kg

Hey raiders fished on Tuesday morning out off botany . Great conditions fished the first tide change using squid an pillies , layed a nice burley trail an my second drop a great snapper , stoked then rid buckles an a rat king jus under size at 63 but still great little fight . So far so good with the thought of leather jackets in my mind kept fishing got a nice nanniegi , that was the last of the good luck the stupid jackets showed up an could see them on the sounder lost about 10 sinkers hooks an two spooled reels of braid !! Tried fishing in closer but no luck ! Tried for a jewel in the arvo but no luck great conditions though
