  3. they will work at night on everything from bream to jews..... and for the biger plastics (not sure if this ipmroves catch rates) put a small red glowstick in the head of the SP to give it that flared gill look.....hopes this helps
  4. i did read you post pete i just wanted info from other people aswell..... luckly i picked up some gulp 6" sandworms the other day (even old bait smells better than them but whatever works )..... should i cut them in half or use them whole ? is it possibale to walk from one spot to another as i know the lake is fairly large and mum just drops me off and goes..... are there any species that arn't commonly found in inshore waters that are in here eg decent snapper and stuff and are there any squid about in there ? i think that is all i got to ask for the moment..... sorry about all the question but i like the looks of this place as a decent LB spot and would like to get something good to take home for a feed or release if its a big bream or lattie or whatever cheers guys
  5. i wasn't really planing on wading as i dont have a pair of waders and dont really wanna go in the cold water ..... are there plenty of fish in there or not so many..... ill be happy if i can take something home for a feed (or get something big and release it ) any more info that will help me get a fish there..... thanks heaps guys

  7. so if i head down to the caraven park mid week is it still fishable or do i have to wait till it opens again before i even have a chance at getting one ? what has the fishing been like down there at the moment ?

  9. can i please have some good spots for narrabeen lakes fishing land based..... i have read that articale about it and think it is very good but am looing for more info about the lake.....i will be using HB and SP if this is any help cheers, Fletcher
  10. That is one of the best looking rods i have ever seen..... i normaly don't like the camo grips but that looks amazing.....great work ! and why are the guides spiraled..... or is that just me ?
  11. i tie my braid straight to leader..... would the double be twice as visable underwater ?..... the only time i tie a double in braib is when where out game fishing and out a couple of smaller rods out to see if we can get some stripies for live or dead bait.....when i do that i use a bimini twist put a swivel on the end and clip the lure straight on which is pre riged with 150lb trace..... that way i can put some hurt on the fish and get him onboard quickly.....but other than that i dont tie doubles in any of my braid

  14. decided to have a go at Fig Tree Bridge sometime next week and want to know where is a good spot (LB)..... i noticed whilst driving over the bridge yesterday that there where mudflats..... does this mean that i cant fish it at low tide or does the section under the bridge area not get high and dry ? what will i be likley to catch there ? and any info about fishing there would be great Cheers, Fletcher
  15. an old alvey, a old rod cut just up from the firt guide, some heavyish line, a bomb and a release clip and your off..... that actullay might work..... will have to build one myself also someway to attach it to the boat and if you really wanna you can buy a cheap distance counter (dont quite know how that fits on)..... should be able to get all the parts cheap off ebay or somewhere like that
  16. ive gone down there specificaly targeting the mullet and got nothing..... tried fly, float, bread burlying (damn ducks) but nothing.....sharks !..... and after abit of rain the mullet seem abit more active

  22. well i went into the shop today and got an ecogear sx40, a chubby, a towadi and a crystal alive..... also grabed some SP
  23. nothing this weekend just a boring weekend at home..... might head out to narrabeen lakes later in the week
  24. it says 5 bearings wich is 1 roller- 4 ball so all are acounted for it does not say 5 BB it says 5 bearing
