  3. after seriously trying HB for the first time yesterday i am hooked..... just as good as SP IMO.....anyway..... i am wanting to get some more hard bodies this week..... i was looking at the towadis and the jackle chubbys.....they will be for fishing the flats and occasionally (when the tide is out) throwing them at fallen trees and stuff..... any other suggestions on brands or specific lures and pics would be great aswell
  4. all this cast stuff has made me want to go fishing im off to the park to belt a few raiders a long way (without hooks of cause)..... i would be interested in coming along to one of these..... how much does it cost ?
  5. i have flyfished with my left hand..... it takes a while to get used to but its godd for certain situations

  7. isn't the myall lakes fresh water or only part of it ? anyway when i was younger we used to go up there in our 41' steber for 2 weeks..... all i ever caught was freshwater garfish and a few other people caught eels
  8. i remember reading in a mag few months ago about whiting on poppers..... can anyone please tell me what mag it was and what the cover pic..... had a look through my mags but couldn't find it..... any help ? Please pm me if you can help.

  10. hi guys, just picked up a symetre 2500 and a shimano nexave 720 spin for my birthday..... they are a great combo and EXTREMLY accurate with cast..... the rod doesn't seem to have any info on it like line class or graphite and similar stuff..... i have searched the web quickly but cant find anything..... have you guys got any sites where it gives me a few more "tech specs" on the rod ?   12. havn't used it but it was recomended to me by Aaron for bream and stuff (only lighter rod and reel)..... check here for a little bit of info
  13. i have about $300 (i have a spare if need be $30 - $40 ) and i was thinking of buying a rod and reel to use for bream, flathead, whiting, tailor, salmon etc. i have been leaning towards shimano but cant seem to find a reel that has more than 3 BB if anyone has any suggestions on any rod or reel that come into my price range (braid still needs to come out of this budget) please let me know..... i also dont mind if it is shimano or not just a good brand that i can use for lure and bait fishing

This area should hold fish..... further up the river near the weir area doesn't seem to hold mchexcept for mullet and sharks (PM me if you wanna know more about the sharks) fig tree is probably the best spot on the river if your land based..... and while it is poluted it still holds fish..... just make sure you dont eat them

  16. it is Dick Smiths boat as said have seen it around a fair few times and have seen him fly that helecopter off the boat aswell.....i have also seen rupert murdock and his wife (gone blanck on her name ??) boat..... it is a massive yaught..... i have also seen greg normans boat and some massive boat that was from brazil..... all in cowan creek
  17. talk to swansea_fisho..... hes had a BAD experiance with it firstly they where going to fast over waves like that..... no one would do something like that..... and secondly.....it wouldn't have gone through the wave but it is highly unlickly that it would have gone that much out of the water..... the motors alone would have kept the back down..... we have droped of alot of waves in our 43' but nothing like that..... id say fake
  18. i have only just started using braid and think its great..... i have fireline in 4kg and 50lb and i like it..... but i would start out with mono..... it all comes down to personal preferance
  19. i have been thinking about giving narra lakes ago for a while but a few people have said that its really bad fishing..... i have a national parks pass and have been through and had alook at afew..... lane cove isn't ll that good and we keep our boat at bobin head so im always fishing aroud apple tree area..... if i decide to fish narrabeen lakes i will be fishing near the caravan park (if its still there) is this a good spot for winter fishing..... or early spring? can someone please send me some info on the lake eg what baits are good, spots, etc. anyone got any other places? cheers, Fletcher

  21. mate ill be fishing the north part of sydney..... i have found figtree bridge but that is right in the middle of sydney harbour and lanecove so it probably isn't the smartest thing to eat the fish..... i have also been given another spot but would prefer one that isn't right on a main road.....can any one else suggest anything
  22. I am looking to fish some LB spots through the week but havn't found any where the fish are safe to eat.....does anyone know where there are any decent ones that i can get bream, flathead etc. not the beach or the rocks as i dont have the equiptment for these cheers, Fletcher
