wwell im not going off the rocks on my own and i got noone to go with so ill have to find somewhere else..... any breack walls that will hold them ?

i was looking at catching them between leagal size up to the biger ones..... but ill be happy with plate size pinkies..... also i need the spots to be in the nothern part of sydney cheers, FletcherG1991

is there anywhere around sydney that i can catch snapper land based but not off the rocks ?

and if i cast over to the racks and i am on the beach will i have a chance at getting a bonnie ?

i am heading down to Narra lakes tommorow and if i don't get anything there i was going to head to narrabeen beach with a raider and spin for salmon and tailor..... i will be using a 2-4kg nexave, symetre 2500 and 4lb finns..... i know this is not ideal for beach fishing but i thought i may aswell give it a go..... all i will have is 1 20gm raider, SP's (heavyest jig head is 1/4 oz), a few HB that i wont use in the surf and that is it..... what am i likley to get in the surf and what am i likley to get casting over near the rocks ? will my gear be up to it (i can get about 50-70m with the radier is that far enough ? ) ?and anything else i should know about spinning from the beach as this is my first time Thank You FletcherG1991

I am wanting to start lure making (wood and plastic HB) and want to know where to beggin..... i have accsess to every paint colour imaginable, most power tools and stuff like that..... is there a site that has tips and stuff like that on lure making and has step by step instructions on making your first lure ? any info on lure making would be great.....i hardly have any money to spend so im not sure how far i can get Cheers, Fletcher

ill head down either thursday or friday..... ill probably be down near the caravan park and walk out onto the flats to the channel chasing some flatties for dinner

after reading the Botany Bay Squid post i was hoping someone could tell me if there is anywhere in cowan creek that is good for squid ? we get them around Bobin Head abit but nothing in numbers, size or consistancy.....we get the odd few every now and then and occasionally we will get 5 or 6 in the night.....is there any good spots or do the commercial fishermen take them before they have a chance to come in the bays in numbers

you can always get a Tyrnos 30 although this may be to small

you can always go with the penn internationals but im not sure if there out of your price range

i couldn't get down cause my mum has the cold and is stuck in bed hopefully get down on moday or tuesday if she is better

the kings have been in cowan creek all winter..... and big ones at that..... cant wait till summer comes around then it will be KING CITY !!!!!

i dont fish sydmey harbour all that often but if you only targeting bream, flatties and similar sort of stuff that is a good rod and reel.....as to what brands and stuff, its upt o ypu

im thinking down going down thursday can you put up (or PM ) where abouts the fish are biting as i want to get into some bream or somthing with my lures

i also found that there are flattie comps..... are these not as common ?

the council's always wait till the last minute to open the gates ..... i guess they waited to long this time..... atleast the fishing will improve when the open it

ok.....looks like i got another year to practice..... anyone got any tips on how to increase my catch rate on lures (SP o HB) now that i can't compete ?

I have been catch a fair few big bream on lures latley and was wondering how do i get into comp fishing for them ?..... i always thought that you had to be 16 before you could start competing until i read somewhere that a 14 yr old boy ones his first comp (bass) does anyone have an age of when i can start ? and any info that will help me get into these comps and hopefully win cheers guys

those carp near the wier are huge..... i have often thought about chucking a line in when no one was around..... i still cant find a sitable LB spot in the fresh water side as it is all bushlined

a weir is a bridge type thing that seperats the fresh water from the salt water..... it also has a "bass lader" (i think thats what it is called) to let the bass spawn.....but its bloody slipery and i have nearly ended up in the water a few times hope this makes sence

i always thought it was just me who thought duskies tasted yuck..... can you get sand or other species in cowan or pittwater as i havn't found any flatti grounds offshore

kings (either pittwater or offshore), big snapper, jews, marlin..... anything big will do me fine and for all you people trying for the dollies..... good luck there awsome fun

didn't head down..... will get out there mid week..... did get down to bobin head (where our boat is at) and got a legal bream (nothing special and was released ) so was pleased with that for 1hr's fish cause the fish get spooked really easy and seeming the water was murky i got out an sx40 and made it rattle heaps..... seemed to work
