  1. I tend to disagree although the mackerel maybe gone it's the best LBG month for longtail Mac Tuna and the odd Cobia the crowds are gone and the water still warm.
  2. Cost them nothing. There pack got owned that's why they had no possession, no ball, and lost the game. They stood no chance
  3. Not unbelievable, these fish frequent these waters if the water is right and like the previous poster said spotted mackerel are quite common. Well done
  4. 3 hook bait jig small bits of pilchards
  5. Mate any point from Berowra to bar point will produce live bait with enough burley. I guarantee you will get yakkas, tailor, and herring. If you burley enough bread in your mix you may even get some mullet.
  6. Cheers mate yeah hoping they find them soon. We need a big southerly and that will spark them into action with the warm water.
  7. Great work mate. What depth did you find the slimies?
  8. Do what the yanks do stainless trailer. No need for anything
  9. At the gates where you pay. They also had a representative at the boat ramp saying the same thing.
  10. Last Saturday national parks and wildlife at Bobbin Head issued warnings that a 5m great white was spotted around Apple Tree Bay and not to swim.
  11. Na they having nothing to hide they are LFB and they normally behave like this. Normally see them running the shore line at Gunya they lay there nets then run chains to spook the fish out, lights are off to minimise spooking the prey.
  12. Great work congratulations to you and the young fella
  13. All depend on what your targeting. The Hawkesbury is the go to place for Jew , bream, and flathead. Depending on what your after you can pick up Pelagics, surgeon fish, blackfish, garfish, whiting, snapper, leather jacket, squid the list goes on. Plan what your targeting and you will have success. Ganged pilchards would probably be my last choice of bait and presentation. Fresh squid, fresh fillets, live bait ( nippers, bloodworms, squid, yakkas, mullet etc). The Hawkesbury has so much to offer just work out what your going to target and fish the right areas.
  14. Any idea where I can buy bulk KS 1/0 2/0 3/0 and 4/0
  15. Yep the hotter the better. I keep a billy and stove on my boat at all times mainly for coffee but may come in handy one day for a sting.
  16. Doubt it very much, although this time of year normally produces the biggest fish
  17. I really don't believe the stopping of professional fishing has contributed to an early come back of the legal snapper. They have always been there but are not targeted.
  18. Looking at my records I got. 1 at 162 cm which weighed 27kg very lean fish. Another at 148 cm weighing 27kg and another at 149cm weighing 26kg. Your fish would be around the 15 to 18kg range well done mate
