  5. Epirb not required unless travelling further than 2km offshore. Lifejackets however are mandatory at night and when travelling alone. Looks like it was a wise decision to wear one!
  6. I will keep this report brief but it was really enjoyable to spend quality fishing time with my son and fellow raiders! Laughs were plenty and I even managed to put up with swordy sleeping near me for 5 nights! Here is a few different fish we caught along the way and a variety of species. (Including a cokfish) There were plenty of F.A.G's on the boat (Fish Accidentally Gone) and some that gave our rods a good workout! Enjoy the pics! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. G'day raiders, Just thought I'd send through a few pics of our adventure! and many more to come! cheers scratchie!!!
  8. You don't need the swivel. Just turn the elastic band around the mainline 10 times. Feed one end through the other to create a long end. Thread that through the sinker and loop over. This will allow you to position your sinker anywhere along the mainline and the rubber band won't do any damage! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. I'd just prefer not to catch one. Minus 10 points on my boat!
  10. Love it! I will be taking that trip myself one day but until then, thanks for sharing! Awesome trip lads! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Everything you've written about your voyage sounds epic! I don't think I would have limited my food though but I guess that puts the pressure on! Awesome effort! I would love to have seen some pics! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. If I was anymore excited about a fishing trip, I think I'd burst! #Darwin here I come!

  13. A large one like that you do in skinless fillets. Oil and butter in a pan, salt and pepper. Keep it simple!
  14. Awesome report sasha and congrats on your PB! It's certainly rewarding to land a beast like that whilst having a good time with the family! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!

  18. You twist the rubber band around the main line 10 times and the feed it through the sinker. No the sinker is still attached. You just rip it off when it's insight of your boat.
