  2. Well best of luck to you and the crew! Remember, the one thing with game fishing is 95% waiting for that 5% mayhem! I look forward to your updates! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Good luck out there Steve! Im presuming it's a gamefish tournament? (Marlin etc) Going into a comp is a great way to get in 2-3 days fishing! I enjoy using that excuse! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. I might be a little bias but then again, it is gods country! Port Stephens but shhhh we already get too many tourists! Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. Lots of advice for you there rick! Welcome to the forum! That's what Fishraider is all about! You can also go to the GPS marks section on this forum for many many more coordinates! happy fishing, cheers scratchie!!!
  6. Keep an eye on the weather though! Storm forecast for this afternoon!
  7. Definately better up towards soldiers! Especially the area where I showed you before. Protected a bit more from the westerly. Good luck!
  8. If it makes you feel better, I went out this morning in 25kt plus winds because my mate wanted to check out his new motor! (Boat ramp a nightmare) anyway, we found a somewhat protected area and cast lures for about an hour and a half for one bream tide was massive and water was filthy!
  9. Cheers mate. Without a doubt you are a banana! Lol. I couldn't even get a fish at one of my favourite beaches to flick a lure at. It was a nice morning though! The water clairity was amazing. And it was great to meet you and at least wet a line! See you next time! cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Well get your butt out there now baz! I'm looking at a glass out while the Aussies in the cricket just blacked out! I wish I was out there but I've got the little ones, whilst my eldest goes and collects some crays! Looking forward to dinner! Catch up with you soon! cheers scratchie!!!
  11. A young fella up here caught a bream off the breakwall last year that went 56cm. It looked like a decent sized snapper to me! cheers scratchie!!!
  12. I had a look at their website and I'm very sceptical. What I would do is contact them on the number they have provided and ask to see their showroom. If they don't not have one (wholesale only) I would ask if I could come to see their warehouse! If they are genuine about selling you a motor at that price, you should be able to pay and collect at the door! If that pans out to be correct, let me know and I'm on my way! Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. I live a bit far away to help with locations but I'm sure some other raiders may help you out! Also, try using the search function on this site. There is a wealth of information on this for you to read! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Cheers mate! The only trout I've ever eaten was from the farm at lithgow when I lived on the blue mtns. That has now closed. I tried fishing the coxs and TCD one time with fellow raider trout stalker, but that was a lot of walking and casting for no result! Too much hard work for me. Sorry but I just don't get excited over a follow! But they are certainly beautiful fish and is on the must do list one day! Keep the posts coming! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Thanks for the ongoing report! Some really nice fish there! It's not my type of fishing but I can see the beauty in it. I know you released these fish but do you ever keep them for a feed? Cheers scratchie!!!

    I have learnt-

Some great stuff there fab! I have learnt, that to become the complete angler just take my 4 kids fishing! It will teach you- how to untangle (multiple times) rig, rerig, bait, unbait, snag, unsnag, catch fish, release fish. All without even having a line in the water yourself! If you can survive the day from frustration then you've earnt yourself a beer! cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Hey farmer, welcome to the "big smoke" and Fishraider! So our members can possibly help you out, what type of fishing are you looking to do? Landbased, boat, river, sea, flathead, marlin etc??? Good luck with you quest. Hope you don't get to frustrated by all the traffic lights! cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Mate, if this happens again soon, I'll personally change it to "4my master" lol so much fun in one post!
  19. That's a great capture liz and a great first report! In essence, you sound like you truly understand why we spend so much time fishing! I've forgotten the kids a few times! Trip to Sydney

Congrats to your daughter Jon! You obviously have very talented children! Yep, I'll give Sydney a miss too! Hence my move to port stephens! We have one traffic light on the peninsular and that's a pedestrian crossing! Unlucky to get that one! They reckon if you lived in Sydney all your life (80years) you would have spent 2 years of your life at traffic lights! Now that's a waste of fishing time! cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Scent blazer lures are a great start to your tackle arsenal. They have without a doubt the best teaser I've ever seen on a game boat and trust me I've been on quite a few! When purchasing lures, it's always personal preference but a lumo sprocket is a must inclusion to any lures! I prefer to skip bait or troll livies but using lures is a great way to cover ground! Ill let you know when the little blacks are on the inshore program in my area if you like! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Congrats on your marriage and managing to get out and catch the biggest fish you've ever caught on your honeymoon! Well done! cheers scratchie!!!
  23. Ouch!!! What did poor sasha do wrong? its actually no surprise, my wife out fishes me all the time!
  24. Classic sasha! When the wife does that to you, that is when you don't make a report! Lol Dont worry mate, she'll go straight on moderation! Oops, mrsswordfisherman out ranks me! Sorry can't help mate! Lol great report and good on you Liz for showing him how it's done! Cheers scratchie!!!
